I had delayed going to the dentist after experiencing several years of uncomfortable bad dental work. I was terrified to go and my teeth were in terrible shape. I knew I wanted to improve my smile and preserve my teeth. Having seen both good and bad dental work, I knew that to get the results I wanted, I had to find a doctor with advanced cosmetic dental training, experience, and esthetic expertise. I consulted with several cosmetic dentists, and chose Dr. Gary Braunstein. I am so glad I did!!!! My teeth were stained, chipped, and worn from grinding in my sleep. I had deteriorated mercury fillings, old crowns with gray base lines, and my enamel surface was thinning. I have been going to Dr. Braunstein for 6 yrs and he is a perfectionist, which is exactly what you want when you are going to invest in something as crucial to you health and well being as your teeth. He is very honest and doesn't recommend procedures that aren't necessary. He stands behind his work and I have had two occassions where he replaced things for free. On one occassionl, I broke the back of a crown off prematurely and he replaced it free with a new, diamond hard material, which has worked great, even with my super strong bite. Another time, during a routine office exam and cleaning, he noticed a crown that he had done a couple years prior that he didn't like the way it looked, and he said that he was going to replace it free of charge.

Another dentist would have just left it and waited until problems arose before fixing it and then charging me for it. It is that kind of perfectionism that makes me trust and appreciate him even more. I had him replace all my old metal fillings, and he used "onlays"(not sure of the spelling) instead of crowns on some of my teeth that had gigantic fillings. It protects the integrity of the tooth and he uses crowns as a last resort. It't like a crown on the inside, where they take an impression and make a porcelain filling that gets bonded in place with a diamond hard material.

His staff has always been super friendly and I absolutely love his hygienist, who has been there as long as I've been going.

One of the best things he recommended to me was a NTI device for tooth grinding. It completely relaxes your jaw while sleeping and protects your teeth from clenching and grinding. It is extremely comfortable compared to other bite guards I've tried. The side benefit is that it seems to eliminate snoring and mild sleep apnea since it keeps your jaw slightly open. My boyfriend got one too and it really helped his jaw which had gotten lopsided due to clenching/grinding. The longer he wore his device, the more his jaw evened out in appearance as the swelling went down. We can't sleep well without our NTI's and always take it on trips. Dr. B checks my device during annual checkups to make sure it still fits properly and has never charged me for adjustments to it. I have referred others to him with the same success. This is one of the best dentists you will every find.

I first met Dr. Gary Braunstein 20 years ago when he made crowns for two of my front teeth. In the following years for various reasons, I had the fortune and misfortune to see other dentists. Now, 20 years later, I have returned to Dr. Braunstein for two more crowns on the adjoining teeth. I am so happy and pleased to be back! Dr. Braunstein not only does superior work but shares two characteristics with my very first dentist, who happened to be my father. Dr. Braunstein shows integrity and kindness in the way that he treats his patients. Although dental techniques have changed vastly since the days of my father, the old fashion virtues of integrity and kindness are always important.

After wanting to close the spaces between my teeth for many years and consulting with many cosmetic dentists, I chose Dr. Braunstein to place Lumineers on my 6 front teeth. My past dentists recommended traditional veneers which are quite costly and requires shaving down some of your tooth. I personally did not feel comfortable with messing with my healthy teeth, so I went for a consult with Dr. Braunstein after learning that he offered Lumineers and seeing his excellent Kudzu reviews. He offers Lumineers and Veneers at his practice and recommended that I should go with the Lumineers,(which doesn't involve any shaving down of your teeth). Some cosmetic dentists will always tell you to go the more expensive route(veneers), but Dr. Braunstein, being the honest person that he is, recommended the procedure that was best for me, money aside. The whole process, including 2 consultations, putting the lumineers on and the final post procedure checkup went smoothly. I felt very comfortable with telling Dr. Braunstein exactly what I wanted. He was very kind and attentive to my opinions while giving me his expertise opinion on what he thought would look good. He spent a lot of time making sure that my new smile looked as good as it could and I really appreciate the extra care that he took to make me happy with the results. His staff is also very accomodating and friendly. I'm very happy with my new smile and owe it all to Dr. Braunstein.

Dr. Braunstein and his team make going to the dentist so much less painful. They are professional, kind, and thorough and do not charge more than is necessary. I really appreciated the personalized care that I received from Dr. Braunstein himself, as well as from Cindy and Sarah, two member of his staff.

Dr. Braunstein has been my dentist for over 20 years and I don't know what I'd do without him. I was born with bad teeth and have had a ton of dental work over my lifetime, so I'm very particular who works on my mouth. I'm a wuss when it comes to pain, and luckily Gary is the "painless dentist." He's very good at what he does, caring and conscientious, and always uses the latest technology. I trust him implicitly. I have had compliicated dental work done in the past, however not up to the excellence of Dr. Braunstein's ability. Other dentists would have recommended an implant and would have pulled my tooth. Dr. Braunstein went far beyond what other dentists would have done sculpting a new base for a crown and saving not only my tooth but $3000 dollars as well. This practice is not just cosmetic dentistry it is a practice that is interested in the health of the patient and care and restoration of your natural smile. The staff that supports Dr. Braunstein, are completely in step with all the new techniques and work together with independent thinking, and complete focus on the clients needs. Dr. Gary Braunstein recently repaired a chip in one of my front teeth. I was on a short schedule and had a shoot the following day, nevertheless his staff was extremely accommodating and rushed me in the same day.

Dr. Braunstein repaired my damage and I was on my way in under 45 minutes of being in his office. His staff treated me very well and were kind and accommodating.

I had my follow visit this morning related to the Lumineers Dr. Braunstein customized and implemented a week ago. He's truly and experienced dental artist. The office staff is amazing and he's incredibly dedicated to his profession. He has transformed my smile and I couldn't believe how beautiful the Lumineers looked when I first viewed in the mirror. He's a perfectionist in every venue, as well as his assistants. It was only two visits; he also offers early morning as well as late appointments for those of us who have 8:00 to 5:00 corporate jobs.

From the first visit Dr. Braunstein and his staff were the most conscientious, friendliest and most attentive group of dental professionals I have ever met. And I have met with MANY. I have been undergoing multiple dental procedures for 25 years and I am finally happy with the results they have achieved for me. I was inforrmed by my dentist that I would need my veneers replaced fairly soon since he thought there seemed to be some wear and tear after 15 years and replacing them would be a good thing. I contacted Dr. Braunstein's office to gather info regarding the cost and he was willing to see me for a free consultation to evaluate what would need to be done. After examining my teeth he concluded that I needed to see a periodontal dentist first to restore the gumline since it is receding. He then explained that just having the gumline brought down to where it should be would then not warrant having new veneers made at all. He didn't see significant wear and tear and even said I could possibly get another 10 years out of the ones that I have! This outcome was the farthest thing from what I had expected. All I can say is that I truly appreciated his honesty and candid comments regarding my veneers and how to proceed with taking care of the more necessary work needed first and foremost before pursuing new veneers. He and his staff made my Christmas. I would highly recommend Dr. Braunstein to everyone who needs any cosmetic dentistry or dental work done.
